Classic Design Group has constructed projects using all types of materials. Each material available has its own unique characteristics and price. Natural Deck Materials

Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine is still the most economical decking material on the market today. It generally offers limited lifetime warranty against such things as fungal and ground contact decay. Most decks, whether natural or maintenance-free are framed with this type of lumber.

Western Red Cedar is the most commonly used cedar in this part of the country. It has a familiar tan color , that when treated, stays a beautiful golden tone. Cedar is naturally resistant to ground contact and fungal decay. Cedar comes in many grades- ranging from Architect Clear ( A or Better) to Standard Tight Knot (STK) .

Ipê is a Brazilian Hardwood that has become extremely popular in recent years. It is rich dark chocolate colored wood that is very dense. When Ipê is installed properly and sealed properly, it looks like fine hardwood flooring.

Maintenance Free Materials

All the materials described in this section are termed maintenance-free . For the most part these synthetic materials are maintenance- free, but do require cleaning from time to time. The main issues with composite and synthetic products are fading, scratching, and staining.

Evergrain Decking and Rail systemsare among the finest in composite wood alternative products. Made from wood pulp and recycled plastics, this composite is the only product that is pressed into a mold. It is denser than most other composites and it tends to hold its color better. It is also one of only a few products that have a mold inhibitor in its composition. These attributes coupled with a reasonable price point, rank this product around the top of our list.

Procell Deckingis a specially engineered, cellular vinyl decking with a solid core that has no wood fillers so it will maintain its beauty through seasonal changes and high traffic use. It is solid vinyl that is very difficult to scratch and staining is virtually impossible. These characteristics along with a lifetime warranty make this product an exceptional buy.

Classic Design Group also provides a wide range of stone and brick work to complement our outstanding designs. We use only the finest, hand-picked masonry products.
